FAMI advocates financial literacy for college students

(FAMI), a subsidiary of First Metro Investment Corporation, supported the FINEX Research and Development Foundation, Inc.’s 19th Intercollegiate Finance Competition (ICFC). FAMI provided the learning materials and resource speakers that helped students answer questions that are patterned after the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 examination. More than 80 colleges and universities participated in the ICFC, which aims to expose students to world-class finance education standards. FINEX recognized FAMI for its efforts in advancing the quality of finance education and contributions to the success of the competition during the launch of the Deloitte-FINEX Outstanding Finance Educator Awards. Building awareness and educating the public about the capital markets are strong CSR commitments of both FAMI and First Metro.
