Southeast Asian yield curves flattened last year as central banks rushed to hike interest rates. In 2023, things are likely to go the other way.
The difference between yields on shorter-maturity bonds and their longer-dated peers is set to widen as policy makers in the region near the end of their tightening cycles, especially those in countries such as South Korea that started hiking relatively early.
