The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) has achieved a significant milestone as it successfully concluded RTB 30, raising P584.86 billion from its offering of five-year Retail Treasury Bonds (RTB). This remarkable achievement surpasses its initial target of P400 billion.

First Metro Investment Corporation served as one of the joint issue managers and selling agents.

Meanwhile, First Metro Securities Brokerage Corporation (FirstMetroSec), designated as one of the settlement banks for the RTB, achieved its highest subscription volume to date, surpassing the company’s previous record during the RTB 28 offering. This milestone not only indicates a significant increase in investor participation but also reflects the growing confidence in FirstMetroSec’s platform and services. Metrobank raises landmark USD1 billion from international debt capital markets

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) successfully concluded its offering of a dual tranche, 5 year and 10 year U.S. dollar denominated notes amidst overwhelming demand. READ MORE

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) successfully concluded its offering of a dual tranche, 5 year and 10 year U.S. dollar denominated notes amidst overwhelming demand.

The 5-year and 10-year bonds were priced at 110 basis points and 130 basis points above the benchmark U.S. Treasury notes, carrying fixed coupon rates of 5.375% and 5.50%, respectively. The final order book was more than 11 times oversubscribed, reaching USD 5.6 billion from investors globally. Metrobank is the first private bank to issue a long-dated 10-year bond. Moody’s gave the 5- and 10-year bonds an investment grade rating of Baa2, at par with the Republic of the Philippines sovereign dollar debt. READ MORE

FAMI AVP and RFP Philippines lecturer, Rienzie Biolena, discussed efficient money management strategies, including assessing last year’s finances, modifying and planning this year’s budget, and considering other factors that affect our finances.

These initiatives are part of FAMI’s commitment to advancing financial literacy among Filipinos by addressing various aspects of financial goal setting and management.
